Barons split the series 2-2 with Healdsburg Prune Packers in a big weekend in Northern California.  The series led off with the Packers putting up nine runs, eight of which came in the last three innings of the game.  Ryan Hare pitched six innings allowing three runs on seven hits.  Ryan Zapata and Kris Keach took over the rest of the game allowing a combined 6 runs.  Trent Anderson and Logan Pollack were the only Barons to register hits, going 2-4 and 2-5 respectively.  The Barons’ late scoring resulted in a final score of 9-4.  They made a much better defensive effort the next day losing by a final score of 4-1.  Nik Galatas got the start on the mound, allowing only one run on three hits.  Joshua Stephens then took over and allowed three runs in the eighth inning, and Bruce Martin provided the only run for the Barons on a solo-homer in the sixth inning.

The Barons bounced back later in the day for the second game of the double-header.  They took the third game of the series with a final score of 7-6.  Joshua Banuelos and Logan Pollack led the offensive charge with three hits each. Gavin Stroud and Kyle Salley pitched the first seven innings, resulting in three runs apiece.  Kris Keach was credited the save for the final two innings, allowing only one hit and no runs on three strikeouts. Momentum rolled with the Barons into Saturday as they closed the series with the Packers ending in a 6-5 victory.  Spencer Hereford pitched four and a third innings allowing four runs on four hits.  Jake Binder would allow one more run in the sixth inning.  Andy Rosales and Anthony Nettles closed the game not allowing a run.  Ultimately it was a big eighth inning from the Barons offense that would save them.  Five total runs were scored in the inning to give the Barons a one run lead and help the Barons tie the series.
