Barons Down Legends in Final Game of Season

The Barons defeated the Long Beach Legends by a score of 6-5 in the final game of the season. For the second game in a row, the Barons came back in the final few innings to pull of the win.

Wes Albert received the start for the Barons and did not allow any runs however his accuracy was a slight problem. Albert pitched 3.0 innings allowing just three hits and walked two batters. Blair Frederick was the first call to the bullpen for the Barons. Frederick went 2.0 innings allowing six hits and three runs. Jared DaRocha pitched another 2.0 innings for the Barons as well. DaRocha pitched 2.0 innings allowing three hits and one run. Aaron Soto was the final Barons’ pitcher in the game. Soto was awarded the win while going 2.0 innings and allowing a just one run.

The Barons trailed early but made a strong comeback to secure a win in the final game of the season and secure the 3rd place spot in the CCL South. Joseph Argumedo was the player of the game on the Barons’ offense going 2-4 and 3 RBIs that came from a bases clearing double that gave the Barons the lead; one they would not relinquish.

The Barons season is now over after their thrilling victory to beat the Legends. The Barons finished the season at 16-20 in the CCL and 16-21 overall. We want to thank everyone who supported the Barons throughout the season!
