Barons Drop Final Game to Saints

In their last game of the season against the Arroyo Seco Saints, the Barons fell on the road by a score of 14-1.

Tyshaun Chapman received his second start of the season and it did not go as planned. Chapman threw just 1.33 innings allowing three hits, four walks and seven earned runs. Blair Frederick was called on in relief going 2.67 innings giving up seven hits and five earned runs. Jared DaRocha returned to the mound for the first time in quite some time and was a bright spot in what was an ugly game. DaRocha went 4.0 innings giving up three hits and two runs which came on a home run but he struck out seven batters.

The Barons only had four hits against the Saints. Eric Whitfield was the leading hitter for the Barons going 2-3.

The Barons will play the Ventura Halos on Thursday at 6 p.m.
