In the rubber match of a three game series the Barons defeated the Slo Blues by a score of 9-5.

Matt Mogollon received the start against the Blues in a crucial game 3. Mogollon went 4.0 innings allowing seven hits and four earned runs. It was not the start the Barons wanted even after scoring two runs to start the game. Wesley Albert followed Mogollon and pitched 3.0 innings. In his first inning of work, Tungate found himself in a bases loaded with no outs situation; Tungate retired the next three batters and did not allow a run.

The Barons’ bats finally came alive at the right time. Randy Rubio went 3-5 with 1 RBI and Solomon Bates went 2-3 with 1 HR and 2 RBIs.

The Barons will have Monday off and play the OC Riptide at Concordia University at 11:30 a.m.
