The 2017 CCL All-Star game is on July 12th at the MLB Youth Academy and the Barons will have four players representing the team in the contest.

Matt Mogollon, is a right handed pitcher and one of the best pitchers in the Barons’ rotation. Mogollon has appeared in five games boasting a record of 1-1, an ERA of 3.72 and has 20 strikeouts on the year.

Solomon Bates started out as a pitcher for the Barons but a bold move by manager Kenny Landreaux was made and Bates was inserted into the lineup as a DH. Needless to say, the move has paid off for the Barons. Bates is batting a team high .609 with 8 RBIs and 1 HR.

Angel Mora is a first year player for the Barons and plays only first base. He has made his presence felt and given pitchers nightmares in his CCL debut season. Mora is batting .349 with 12 RBIs and 2 HRs.

The final Baron All-Star is Javier Garcia. Javier Garcia is one of the smaller players on the roster standing at just 5’7″ but is one of the most consistent hitters on the team. Garcia is batting .321 with 2 HRs and 6 RBIs.

We want to congratulate these four men on making the All-Star team! Good luck this Wednesday during the CCL All Star game. The game is at 7 p.m. at the Youth Academy.
