Barons Eliminated from Playoffs by Pearl

The Barons were eliminated from the playoffs after a 6-5 loss to the Neptune Beach Pearl on Saturday.

RHP Kyle Murray started on the mound for the Academy and threw 6.0 innings while gathering six strikeouts. RHP Gary Smith appeared in relief during the seventh inning along with Joseph Mercado who recorded the first two outs of the inning. Oscar Muñoz pitched the final 1.1 innings of the game and struck out one.

Second baseman Adonis Morrison (1×4) started the scoring for the Barons with a solo home run in the fifth inning. Centerfielder Keyon Allen and catcher Jonah Hargroves were each 2×5 with two RBI. Ernie De La Trinidad (2×5) and shortstop Zack Kolakowski (2×5) each recorded two hits in the game.

The Barons finish the year with a 29-15 record.
