Barons Fall on the Road Against Riptide

The Barons lost a road contest to the Orange County Riptide on Tuesday evening by a final score of 5-3.

Sebastian Sanchez started on the bump for the Barons tossing 5.0 innings with four strikeouts. Joseph Mercado threw 2.0 innings, and Travis Bonner tossed 1.0 inning.

The Barons scored all three of their runs in the ninth inning, but it wasn’t enough for a comeback. Center fielder Keyon Allen led things at the dish for the Barons going 3×4 with a triple.

The Barons host the Riptide in their final two games of the regular season in a doubleheader on Wednesday. These games are set for 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Academy.
