Barons Complete Sweep of Legends

The Barons completed a three-game series sweep of the Long Beach Legends on Thursday evening, defeating them 7-4 on the road.

Barons starting pitcher Gary Smith earned the win after collecting two strikeouts over his 4.0 innings of duty. Travis Bonner threw 2.0 innings in relief with one punch out, and Josh Bravin followed tossing a scoreless seventh inning with one strikeout. Reece Buska earned his league leading ninth save of the season after pitching the final 2.0 innings and striking out two.

Third baseman Martin Teague hit his sixth home run of the season, going 1×5 with two RBI. Designated hitter Cody Den Beste went 2×4 with a double and three RBI. Second baseman Adonis Morrison also had two knocks, going 2×3 with one RBI.

The Barons host the So Cal Catch on Friday in the first of a four-game set. This one is set for 6 p.m.
