Barons Continue Winning Ways After All-Star Break

In their first game back from the All-Star break, the Barons picked up an 11-5 victory over the Ventura Halos Thursday evening at the Academy.

RHP Ryan Hare earned the win after going the first 6.0 innings, giving up one earned run and punching out four. Wesley Albert threw 2.0 innings in relief, striking out two. Oscar Muñoz closed things out for the Barons in the ninth, striking out the side.

Offensively, the Barons scattered 13 hits to score their 11 runs. Designated hitter Ernie De La Trinidad led the charge going 3×4 with a triple, home run, and five RBI. Center fielder Keyon Allen (2×5), third baseman Trent Hammond (2×5), and first baseman Aaron Cisneros (2×5) collected two hits apiece.

The Barons travel to Long Beach City College on Friday to take on the Long Beach Legends in a 5 p.m. contest.
