Den Beste Homers Twice in Barons Shutout Victory

The Barons shut out the Orange County Riptide defeating them 7-0 on Saturday evening for their twentieth win of the season.

Starting RHP Sebastian Sanchez kept the Riptide scoreless for 7.0 innings allowing only five hits. RHP Josh Bravin and LHP Ryan Paramo pitched the eighth and ninth innings respectively.

The Barons offense was led by right fielder Cody Den Beste who went 2×4 with two solo home runs. Catcher Chris Kobar went 2×2 and first baseman Aaron Cisneros went 1×3 with three RBI.

The Academy hosts the Conejo Oaks Sunday at 1 p.m. in their final contest before the all-star break.
