Barons Earn Tough Road Win Against Blues

The Barons improved to 19-7 after winning a hard-fought game against the Blues (16-13) in San Luis Obispo, 4-3.

Barons starting pitcher Tyler Tungate threw 3.0 innings. RHP Oscar Muñoz threw 2.0 innings in relief and struck out three. RHP Reece Buska closed it out in the ninth, earning his sixth save of the season.

Barons third baseman Martin Teague hit a three run home run in the third, and Adonis Morrison scored in the fourth, giving the Barons enough for the win. Catcher Jonah Hargroves and shortstop Sam Shaikin recorded two hits each, going 2×5 and 2×4 respectively.

The Barons return home to face the Orange County Riptide in a 6 p.m. game on Saturday.
