Williams’ Home Run Not Enough in Loss to Riptide

The Barons (17-7) lost their second consecutive game on Tuesday night to the Orange County Riptide (11-18) by a final score of 13-4.

Barons starting RHP Ryan Hare was charged with the loss after 3.0 innings of work. RHP Travis Bonner threw 2.0 innings in relief, gathering three strikeouts along the way.

The offensive highlight for the Barons was a two-run home run by right fielder Tyler Williams (2×4), his first of the summer.

The Academy will trek north on Thursday to face the Santa Barbara Foresters at 5 p.m. before visiting the San Luis Obispo Blues on Friday at 6 p.m.
