Barons Named No. 2 in State, No.14 in Country

Collegiate Summer Baseball (CSB) has recognized the Barons as the second ranked collegiate summer baseball team in California, and the fourteenth ranked team in the country. Two other teams from California have been recognized among CSB’s top 35-team rankings. Top Speed Baseball of Petaluma took the top spot in the state, earning the number nine ranking in the country. The Santa Barbara Foresters earned the number three ranking in the state, taking the 25th spot in the country. Access the team ranking list here: http://www.collegiatesummerbaseball.com/.

The Barons are currently 14-3 on the season, and 9-3 in the California Collegiate League (CCL). The Academy travels to Santa Barbara to face the Foresters in a highly anticipated CCL matchup on Thursday, July 7th. The first pitch of this one is set for 5 p.m.

The Barons next game is against the So Cal Catch on Saturday, June 25th at 6 p.m. in Compton.
