Cisneros and Hargroves Homer in Barons Win

The Barons (14-3, 9-3) won their sixth straight contest on Wednesday evening, beating the Orange County Riptide in Irvine, 7-5.

RHP Tyler Tungate took the mound for the Barons, allowing three runs while collecting three strikeouts over four innings. RHP Josh Bravin followed and earned the win, giving up two runs in one inning of work. RHP Reece Buska earned his fourth save of the season, tossing one inning and striking out one.

2015 California Collegiate League All-Stars first baseman Aaron Cisneros and catcher Jonah Hargroves both went deep, as Cisneros went 2×5 with a three-run home run, and Hargroves went 2×4 with a two-run home run. Designated hitter Ernie De La Trinidad pushed his hit streak to 16 games, going 1×5 with an RBI triple.

The Barons travel to La Mirada on Friday to begin a three-game series against the So Cal Catch (11-8, 5-6). Game time for this one is set for 4:30 p.m.
