Barons Pitching Delivers Fifth Straight Win

The Barons (13-3, 8-3) beat the visiting Conejo Oaks on Tuesday night in their third meeting this season, 3-1.

RHP Henry Omana started on the mound for the Barons, tossing five shutout innings with one strikeout, lowering his ERA to 3.70. Omana was followed by RHP Oscar Munoz who threw two scoreless innings. RHP Reece Buska closed the game throwing two scoreless innings with one strikeout, earning his third save of the season.

Barons offense was led by first baseman Martin Teague who went 1×4 with a two-run home run. Center fielder Ernie De La Trinidad extended his hit streak to 15 games, going 1×4. Third baseman Trent Hammond and right fielder Cody Den Beste both went 2×4, while left fielder James Stea went 1×4 with a stolen base.

The Barons visit the Orange County Riptide (7-9, 3-7) on Wednesday with the first pitch slated for 4:25 p.m.
