Barons Continue Winning Ways With 6-3 Victory Over Legends

The Barons wrapped their three-game road trip with another win, beating the Long Beach Legends on Saturday afternoon, 6-3.

Barons starting pitcher Ryan Hare threw five innings allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits while picking up seven strikeouts. RHP Josh Bravin followed Hare, tossing three scoreless innings and collecting two strikeouts. RHP Reece Buska earned his second save of the season after closing the game in the ninth.

The Academy had five players record multiple hits in the game, accounting for the team’s 13 hits on the day. First baseman Martin Teague went 3×5 with three doubles and three RBIs. Second baseman Adonis Morrison went 3×5 with a triple and an RBI. Designated hitter Aaron Cisneros went 2×5 pounding a double and a triple, picking up an RBI along the way. Ernie De La Trinidad continued his season-long hit streak going 2×5. Left fielder James Stea joined in on the action with two hits as well (2×5).

The Academy returns to Compton on Sunday for a 1 p.m. rematch against the Long Beach Legends.
