Barons Fall to Legends in First Meeting

The Barons fell to the Long Beach Legends on Tuesday night, 11-6.

Barons starting pitcher Henry Omana tossed four innings, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk. Omana picked up four strikeouts over his time on the bump. The Barons bullpen allowed nine runs on 13 hits and four walks.

Offensively for the Barons, left fielder Tyler Williams continued his strong start going 1×5 with a double that knocked in two runs. Designated hitter Martin Teague had his sixth multi-hit game of the season going 2×3. Catcher Jonah Hargroves went 1×4 with a triple and three RBIs.

After a day off, the Academy will face the So Cal Catch for the first time this season on Thursday. This game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. in Compton.
